Fanatics rides Lawrence to record NFL Draft sales

Demand for Trevor Lawrence’s official No. 16 Jaguars jersey led Fanatics to its best sales ever for the first night of an NFL Draft. Lawrence, long projected to be the No. 1 overall pick, more than doubled the previous best sales for an individual draftee, which Joe Burrow established last year after the Bengals took him first overall. This includes pre-orders for jerseys, merchandise and other related memorabilia. Fanatics on Friday morning announced that it had signed Lawrence to a multiyear deal.

Bears fans clearly hope Justin Fields is the answer to their prolonged QB issues, as he had the second-best sales night of any draftee. Fanatics was able to capitalize on instant demand for products due to marketing to relevant fan bases seconds after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced each draft selection.
